    • What is NAV-CO2?

      • NAV-CO2 systems use liquid carbon dioxide (CO2) as a propellant. NAV-CO2 systems combine alcohol-based sanitizing solutions with a heated stream of CO2 liquid to create a vapor capable of penetrating small crevices and gaps. As CO2 and atomized alcohol evaporate completely at room temperature, no residue remains. CO2 displaces oxygen, eliminating one of the elements needed to support combustion. Sanitizing chemicals such as quaternary ammonium can be added to alcohol based sanitizers to extend the killing time on surfaces. NAV-CO2 systems are used to sanitize contact surfaces where individuals may become infected. Hand washing and sanitizing surfaces with alcohol-based solutions are effective methods for the prevention of nosocomial infection

    • Why do I want interchangeable CO2 tanks in my NAV-CO2 system?

      • In the event that you need to sanitize a large area quickly you will want to avoid having to take the entire system to a shop to have it refilled.

    • Is NAV-CO2 green?
      • Yes. NAV-CO2 does not use clorine or other persistant chemicals.
    • Can I put Ecolab "insert product name here" into my NAV-CO2 system?

      • No. Atomizing a chemical not specifically designed for NAV-CO2 applications can result in injury, and damage to NAV-CO2 systems.

    • Where can I get myCO2 tank filled?
      • CO2 tanks can be refilled by CO2 gas merchants such as Linde, Airgas, or other gas suppliers.
    • Can I use a tank from the weld shop or my beer fridge in my NAV-CO2?

      • Not recomended. Our tanks are made of aluminum to reduce weight, they are cleaner, and have other features necessary for safe and reliable performance of your system. Sanisys offers these tanks at a competitive price.

    • Against which pathogens is the NAV-CO2 system effective?

      • Sanisys offers several sanitizing products for NAV-CO2 systems. Your Sanisys representitive can help you select the best sanitizer for your requirements. Our customers typically use their Biomist Sanitizing System for the control of MRSA, norovirus, salmonella, lysteria, E. coli, influenza, tuberculosis, HIV.

    • I have a outbreak, pandemic, contminated area - can the Biomist System solve my probem?
